Mr Kuye also encouraged everyone to always be part of contributing for others because this is how we can help each other.

Mr Tony Bello asked why he was not in the group for the donation, but Mr Yinka apologized and promised to extend it to him.

Proposed Investment

The President asked the members to please ask questions about the proposed investment.

Mr Shola said he knows that the president must have done his research about the proposed investment but he would like to know how many banks he has gone to and that we must not stay on just one bank.

The president explained all he knew about the investment and that the bank advised us to do 3 months, 6 months and 1 year respectively.

Mr Shola said he agreed with the proposal but he was concerned about the way we are doing it. He said we don’t have to follow what the bank suggested and should explore other banks as well.

The president said he has posted these investment things on our platform for everyone to see and understand what we are doing. He also said he sent the proposal to the excos and some elders among us and they all agreed to it. He said the best bank we can use for the investment is the bank we have history with, just to safeguard our money.

The president moved further to say 3 members will be signatory to the account which is financial secretary and 2 others.

Mr Shola asked about layers in the investment and the president responded that the 3 layers is to not spend all the money in the account on investment so we can start with 3,6 and 1 year investments.

Mr Femi explained to the members that whatever the proposal the president brings to the meeting, must have passed through the executives for approval and that the president is not talking on his own.

Mr Osifeso suggested we abandon the proposed layers and go ahead with 3 months and the bank will notify us on the next steps.

Mr President responded that the 3 layers were presented because we have not done it before, he just wants everyone to agree that we are doing investment.

Mr Ologolo said we must make sure we put our ladies as signatory.

Mr Shaskir Azeez said we should send someone to the bank to make enquiries about how much percentage they are giving.

Mr Afuwape said we should go ahead and vote on 10k investment.

The vote was conducted and the majority of the members online and at the meeting carried the vote.
